Today, some 35 per cent of the world\u2019s fish stocks are classified as overfished. That\u2019s thanks largely to a combination of government subsidies, as well as illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. A variety of strategies exist to combat these problems, but as the FT\u2019s Susannah Savage explains, coming to any sort of agreement on how best to fight overfishing is far from easy.<\/p>\n
