Police have clashed with protesters in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam and several people have been arrested as security forces try to prevent demonstrations.<\/p>\n
Protesters were rallying against the portrayal of Thursday’s streets violence in the city between Israeli football fans and local people as anti-Semitic.
\nAuthorities imposed a three-day ban on protests starting Friday following violence between supporters of Israeli football club Maccabi Tel Aviv and Palestinian solidarity protesters.<\/p>\n
The violence started after fans of the Israeli side tore down Palestinian flags and chanted racist slogans ahead of a match in Amsterdam.<\/p>\n
