The US secretary of state has made an unannounced to Iraq to meet with the country\u2019s Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani amid a tour of the region. Blinken\u2019s tour is part of a push to bring Syria\u2019s neighbours and the US\u2019s allies onside as the country transitions political systems, post-Bashar al-Assad. Earlier today, Blinken met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkiye\u2019s foreign minister.<\/p>\n
