The Trump administration is escalating its legal battle after a federal judge demanded more information about the two deportation flights that took off over the weekend and landed in El Salvador.<\/p>\n
The dispute started after Pres. Trump invoked a centuries-old law \u2014 the Alien Enemies Act of 1798.<\/p>\n
The act is a sweeping wartime authority that allows non-citizens to be deported without being given the opportunity to go before an immigration or federal court judge.<\/p>\n
