Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman has called for the US to guarantee sanctions will be lifted as a condition for a nuclear deal.
\nEsmail Baghaei made the comments just days after the US submitted what it calls an “acceptable” proposal.
\nBoth countries have conducted several weeks of negotiations over Iran’s nuclear programme.
\nThe US is seeking assurances that it is peaceful, while Iran hopes to lift sanctions that have battered its economy in recent years.<\/p>\n
