\nDespite his advanced age, the Dalai Lama expressed a wish to live until 130 and reaffirmed his commitment to serving people and Buddhist teachings.
\nThe celebrations, however, unfold against a backdrop of ongoing tensions with China, which still regards him as a separatist, and uncertainties surrounding his succession.<\/p>\n
