Forbidden<\/a><\/strong> reunited in 2023 and outside playing shows, is working on their first new record since Omega Wave<\/em> in 2010. According to founding guitarist Craig Locicero<\/strong>, Forbidden<\/a><\/strong> is currently working hard on the new music and is integrating new guitarist Daniel Mongrain<\/strong>‘s (Martyr<\/a><\/strong>, Voivod<\/a><\/strong>, ex-Cryptopsy<\/a><\/strong>, ex-Gorguts<\/a><\/strong>) ideas into the mix as well. So it’s sure to be a real banger.<\/p>\n Forbidden<\/a><\/strong> in 2025 is Locicero<\/strong>, Mongrain<\/strong>, bassist Matt Camacho<\/strong>, drummer Chris Kontos<\/strong>, and vocalist Norman Skinner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n “‘When the world is running down, you make the best of what’s still around.’ Thank you for those wise words, Sting<\/strong> & The Police<\/strong>. Forbidden<\/a><\/strong> is presently on a writing frenzy,” wrote Locicero<\/strong>. “Some of the very best material that’s ever come out of my hands is being sculpted<\/strong> into epic thrash by all of us.<\/p>\n “Working on songwriting is a treat when you’re in a band with Chris Kontos<\/strong>. I knew this when we got him aboard. Our overall wisdom of structuring & arranging riffs into songs is pretty fucking epic. Plus he and Matt<\/strong> are putting together a rhythm section that will sit in its own pocket within the material.<\/p>\n “We have even started introducing Dan Mongrain<\/strong>‘s orchestrating guitar into the mix. That all starts next week. You can only imagine what he’ll add to the concoctions. Then it’s time for Norman<\/strong> & I to put the pen to paper. That’s something I’m very much looking forward to.<\/p>\n “Let’s put it this way, I’m not the only one that’s this excited. We all feel that the material is going to be fucking great.
