But the show was a huge stepping stone in her career in country music. The singing competition also launched the career of Miranda Lambert<\/a>.<\/p>\n Musgraves has released six studio albums, including\u00a0Deeper Well<\/em> in 2024. She\u2019s won a stunning total of six Grammy Awards<\/a> in her relatively short career. She was recently in Mexico before heading back to Nashville for a scheduled performance.<\/p>\n However, the performance for the Sing for Science podcast. The unusual podcast pairs musicians and scientists for riveting discussions of science, with musical performances thrown in. Kacey Musgraves was due to a live taping of the podcast at the iconic Ryman Auditorium on Sunday, June 22.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, she was unable to make the appearance after a gruesome injury in Mexico. She took to social media<\/a> to share with fans what happened.<\/p>\n \u201cWednesday night it was raining and I was running to grab some towels and had an extremely hard fall on some very slick tile I didn\u2019t see,\u201d the \u201cButterflies\u201d singer said.<\/p>\n She added, \u201cThankful I didn\u2019t smack my head but I landed very hard on my back left ribcage and broke rib number six.\u201d<\/p>\n The singer said that she wasn\u2019t able to do anything due to the pain, including perform on stage. One fan wrote, \u201cI\u2019ve broken a rib before and that shit sucks! hopefully it heals quickly!\u201d<\/p>\n Another added, \u201cI\u2019m feeling your pain being a musician also. I had broken ribs at the start on April. Playing music is difficult when you cant move.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n But that doesn\u2019t mean Kacey Musgraves is canceling her entire tour schedule.
