Police said Settles, who was signed to 300 Entertainment at the time, pulled out a gun and fired several rounds.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper maintained he acted in self-defense. No one was struck by the gunfire, but three people were injured during the mall\u2019s chaotic evacuation.<\/p>\n<p>He admitted to three counts of maliciously discharging a firearm in an occupied building and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors pushed for a 15-year sentence, but the judge handed down the mandatory minimum.
