Airy vocals and gauzy pads swirl until a jarring lyric (&#8220;my daydreams, it&#8217;s more like nightmares&#8221;) tears the arrangement wide open.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dreams Come True&#8221; doesn\u2019t blink either, pulsing with the confidence of an artist who\u2019s crawled through self-doubt and come out with something solid in-hand. \u201cBringing Me Down\u201d sharpens this contrast further, its delicate intro lurching into a bassline that snarls without losing musicality.<\/p>\n<p>\n                <strong>View the <a href=\"https:\/\/edm.com\/music-releases\/effin-new-album-daydreams\">original article<\/a> to see embedded media.<\/strong>\n            <\/p>\n<p>While most of the album is a solo expedition, \u201cUps and Downs&#8221; finds Effin linking up with <a href=\"https:\/\/edm.com\/features\/class-of-2025-revealed\">EDM.com Class of 2025<\/a> artist Tape B, with whom he bends retro radio fuzz and\u00a0tinctures of saxophones\u00a0into a woozy trip through tasteful doses of each producer&#8217;s unmistakable sound design.<\/p>\n<p>What makes <em>Daydreams<\/em> so effective isn\u2019t genre subversion for its own sake, but a tight grip on mood and texture across all 12 tracks. There\u2019s no sense of a random ID dump here.
