Nicki Minaj is on a rampage. She has her eyes and sights fully on <a href=\"https:\/\/allhiphop.com\/tag\/jay-z\/\">JAY-Z <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/allhiphop.com\/tag\/cardi-b\/\">Cardi B<\/a>! For some reason, this has become the cornerstone of her album rollout for next year. As you can see, she\u2019s already disrupted part of Cardi B\u2019s rollout. Cardi B debuted at the top of the charts, but Nicki celebrated as if she did not. But that\u2019s another story\u2014we\u2019ll get into that in a second.<\/p>\n<p>A few months ago, Nicki was up in arms over Jay, <a href=\"https:\/\/allhiphop.com\/tag\/roc-nation\/\">Roc Nation<\/a>, and money she said she was owed, plus a lot of other things that had nothing to do with bars. Nicki is one of the best writers of our time, so I\u2019d rather hear her making music than unloading on social media. But that\u2019s just me. Here we are with the drama. First of all, she seemingly celebrated Cardi not debuting at the top of the charts, which was surprising to me because Cardi\u2019s rollout was incredible, spanning multiple cities and even underserved territories. I thought it was masterful. Second, Cardi\u2019s album <em><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/1LsNb6mVitbLZCxnRsbCDJ\">Am I The Drama?<\/a><\/em> was very, very good and well-received by both fans and critics alike. But she was up against some heavy competition on the charts, so she didn\u2019t land at number one. Personally, that doesn\u2019t matter to me\u2014it\u2019s all about the music.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-21-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><d class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"><br \/>\n<iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: AM I THE DRAMA?\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/album\/1LsNb6mVitbLZCxnRsbCDJ?utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe><br \/>\n<\/d><\/figure>\n<p>Anyway, it seems like some slick talk\u2014perhaps on Young Thug\u2019s album and other stuff\u2014has Nicki fired all the way up. Now she\u2019s going at Jay and Cardi in a way that feels like a vendetta. I think we\u2019re going to have to deal with this energy consistently from now until her album drops next year. I just hope it doesn\u2019t take away from the music itself. That said, Nicki has made it clear she\u2019s writing! I think she emphasized that because Cardi B has co-writers, while Nicki is all MC. There\u2019s a slight distinction, but Cardi doesn\u2019t care. I don\u2019t think Atlantic Records cares either. And honestly, I don\u2019t think most people care anymore.<\/p>\n<p>JAY-Z is another story. I wonder if he\u2019s even thinking about any of this or if he\u2019s brushing it off from a yacht somewhere. Personally, I\u2019d love to see Jay come back out. I feel like Hip-Hop needs him just as much as it needs Nas. We need these great examples of veteran MCs still operating at a high lyrical level. That said, <a href=\"https:\/\/allhiphop.com\/news\/bad-bunny-headline-2026-super-bowl-halftime-show\/\">Jay\u2019s not doing the Super Bowl <\/a>now, so that\u2019s off the table. Meanwhile, Nas is about to drop some time this year\u2014we definitely know that\u2019s happening. So we\u2019ll have to wait and see.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Nicki Minaj is on a rampage, and it doesn\u2019t seem like it\u2019s stopping any time soon. I\u2019m here for it, though, because it\u2019s basically the essence of Hip-Hop. Since we\u2019re not going to get along, we might as well get it on\u2014lyrically. Keep it on wax and may the best rapper win.<\/p>\n<p>As I type this, Cardi and Nicki are going back and forth over Twitter\u2026this is WILD!
