After a period of behind-the-scenes activity, Voivod<\/a><\/strong> are ready to hit the road again, recently announcing North American tour dates as well as a long summer European run. The band also shared an update on studio work and unveiled a new video for their classic track “Condemned To The Gallows.”<\/p>\n Drummer Michel “Away” Langevin<\/strong> offered insight into the band’s current projects: “We are gearing for a very exciting year in the Voivod<\/strong> camp, as we are working on multiple projects at once.<\/p>\n “We have a brand new setlist for a few tours planned in 2026, where we will play with good friends like Midnight<\/strong> and Bat<\/strong>. We are mixing the Quebec City Symphonique Live album, while recording the next studio LP. A video game by Chaosmonger Studio is in the works as well.”<\/p>\n The newly released video, “Condemned To The Gallows (2023 Version),” revisits the first song Voivod<\/strong> ever wrote.<\/p>\n Originally intended for a 2023 release, technical issues stalled the project: “The video was supposed to come out in 2023, but Pierre<\/strong>‘s computer crashed and most data was lost. Pierre<\/strong>, who also did the video ‘Planet Eaters’ for us, retrieved whatever he could and secretly salvaged the video over the last couple of years. The result is truly fantastic, so here it is. Enjoy!”<\/p>\n Directed by Pierre M\u00e9n\u00e9trier<\/strong> and produced by Esprit Pop<\/strong>, the video ties into Voivod<\/strong>‘s 40th<\/sup>-anniversary release Morg\u00f6th Tales<\/em>, celebrating the band’s enduring influence on sci-fi-infused metal.
