During this period, she relied on modeling gigs and acting work to survive financially as her career stalled.<\/p>\n<p>The Bronx rapper credits Nicki Minaj with keeping her name alive in the industry when she needed it most.<\/p>\n<p>Nicki featured Maliibu Miitch on the \u201cSuper Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)\u201d alongside BIA, JT, Katie Got Bandz, and Akbar V, giving her visibility during her darkest professional period.<\/p>\n<p>More importantly, Nicki consistently mentioned her name over the years, ensuring people didn\u2019t forget about her talent.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was locked in a contract for eight years and I finally got released. I\u2019ve been out of it for four months now,\u201d <a title=\"\u200c\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8Z6w9ZtGRo4\">Maliibu Miitch revealed during an appearance on Angela Yee\u2019s <em>Lip Service<\/em> podcast. <\/a><\/p>\n<p>She explained the severity of her situation: \u201cI couldn\u2019t release nothing. They wouldn\u2019t let me release anything. She couldn\u2019t earn money from her music because the production company recouped everything.<\/p>\n<p>Without Nicki\u2019s support and opportunities for collaboration, she would have faced even greater hardship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNicki put money in my pockets when at a time where I was stuck in a contract and couldn\u2019t make no money so she constantly kept bringing up my name over the years. So like, you know, so nobody could for forget about me,\u201d <a title=\"\u200c\" href=\"https:\/\/allhiphop.com\/tag\/maliibu-miitch\/\">Maliibu Miitch<\/a> stated.<\/p>\n<p>She continued with deep gratitude: \u201cAnd again, I was she was one of the people that was helping me make money. I would never have anything bad to say about Nicki, like ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rich the Kid also played a crucial role in her liberation.
