Outside of the warehouse amenities, customers can get better rates when purchasing vehicles, prescriptions, vacations, and, as one woman has pointed out, phones.<\/p>\n<p>Ak Roulette (@akroulette), a Georgia-based content creator, shared a hack to get an iPhone 15 for $300 with a Costco card. According to her, Costco members can grab a brand new iPhone for 50% off from T-Mobile.<\/p>\n<p>As of this writing, her post discussing the hack, alongside its quirks, has more than 5 million views.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-get-an-iphone-50-off-at-costco\">How to Get an iPhone 50% Off at Costco<\/h2>\n<p>Costco has a vendor relationship with T-Mobile, which means that Costco members can take advantage of exclusive rates and deals with the cellphone service provider. Online, the wholesale store says that members <a href=\"https:\/\/www.costco.com\/f\/-\/t-mobile-brand-showcase\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">can<\/a> \u201cGet $450 in value \u2026 When [they] switch to T-Mobile and activate a new phone on Experience Beyond. $150 &amp; $50 Costco Digital Shop Cards + $250 Prepaid Visa Card.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Costco does have the iPhone 15 available for customers to purchase through <a href=\"https:\/\/sameday.costco.com\/?next=%2Fstore%2Fcostco%2Fs%3Fk%3Da%2520phone%2520that%2520cost%2520%24300%2520iphone%252015\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">T-Mobile<\/a>, which is noted on its website.<\/p>\n<p>Ak Roulette said that all she had to do was acquire a Costco membership, go inside a warehouse, purchase the phone, and then pick it up at T-Mobile. She said she received the phone for \u201c50% off,\u201d or $300. The iPhone 15 is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.t-mobile.com\/cell-phone\/apple-iphone-15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">$629.99<\/a> on T-Mobile\u2019s website, so the $300 she paid was a little more than half off. <\/p>\n<p>Outside of the deal Ak Roulette mentioned, Costco has other offerings for phones. For instance, the warehouse retailer has deals for customers to get <a href=\"https:\/\/sameday.costco.com\/?next=%2Fstore%2Fcostco%2Fs%3Fk%3Diphone%2B17%2Bis%2Bin%2Bstock\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an iPhone 17<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/sameday.costco.com\/?next=%2Fstore%2Fcostco%2Fs%3Fk%3Dsamsung%2Bgalaxy%2Bs25%2B%2Bcell%2Bphone%252C%2B256gb%2Bsmartphone%252C%2Bunlocked%2Bandroid%252C%2Bai%2Bnight%2Bmode%2Bcamera%252C%2Bsnapdragon%2B8%2Belite%2Bfast%2Bprocessor%252C%2Bproscaler%2Bdisplay\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a Galaxy S25<\/a>, gift cards, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bgr.com\/2040794\/buying-new-phone-costco-pros-cons\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">or different plans<\/a> with the warehouse chain\u2019s two carriers, AT&amp;T and T-Mobile.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-issues-did-this-costco-customer-run-into-with-t-mobile\">What Issues Did This Costco Customer Run Into With T-Mobile?<\/h2>\n<p>Ak Roulette ran into some trouble fulfilling the deal when she got to T-Mobile, which she noted in her video. According to her, the employee she worked with was unfamiliar with Costco and T-Mobile\u2019s vendor relationship. She says that when she arrived at T-Mobile, the employee tried to tell her that she couldn\u2019t pick up the phone she had just purchased.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s telling me over and over, \u2018I can\u2019t do that. I can\u2019t do that.\u2019 Well, I think I can. I think I can,\u201d Ak Roulette said.<\/p>\n<p>After some back-and-forth, she was able to secure her brand-new device, which she unboxed in her video.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels so much better than the 13,\u201d Ak Roulette said.<\/p>\n<p>Viewers, however, said there were additional complications with Ak Roulette\u2019s purchase. For one, some viewers claimed that customers have to get the phones shipped from Costco, not from T-Mobile.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe t-mobile rep at the store was right tho. Costco and Sam\u2019s HAS to ship the phone to you, they do get in trouble when they send customers to a different store, so i\u2019m sure the Costco rep got chewed out by their manager after the Tmobile rep told their manager,\u201d one viewer said. \u201cAlso, it\u2019s a monthly credit that\u2019s applied to your bill, you don\u2019t get the $315 all at once, it\u2019s split up into 24 months so if you leave you lose the credit and have to pay the full balance of the phone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Others mentioned that the deal likely came with a T-Mobile plan. They recommended other cellphone carriers, such as Mint Mobile, instead. Ak Roulette, however, seemed happy with her purchase.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-to-get-a-better-deal-on-costco-memberships\">How to Get a Better Deal on Costco Memberships<\/h2>\n<p>Some viewers shared additional tips in the comments section on how to get better deals on Costco memberships.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStep one \u2013 go to Groupon &amp; get a membership for 50% off. I paid $35 for my first year,\u201d one viewer said. Ak Roulette replied, \u201cIma start asking y\u2019all before I do stuff cause now I\u2019m mad I didn\u2019t save more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Groupon has a promotion that offers potential customers benefits when purchasing a Costco membership. When a person purchases a deal from the platform, they can get a discount on the base cost of a membership or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.groupon.com\/deals\/n-costco-membership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bonus credit<\/a> to use inside the store.<\/p>\n<p>As of this writing, Groupon is offering a $50 or $100 bonus credit alongside Costco memberships. The company doesn\u2019t always offer discounts, but it does have offers that customers can frequently take advantage of.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWithin two weeks of your successful membership purchase, Costco will email you a $50 or $100 Costco.com online promo code. Eligible customers receive it automatically, no action needed,\u201d the platform <a href=\"https:\/\/www.groupon.com\/deals\/n-costco-membership\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">states<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>AllHipHop reached out to Ak Roulette and T-Mobile via email, as well as Costco via press form, for more information.
