Get it first, straight from AllHipHop.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They\u2019re claiming the government agency was secretly funding rap music to \u201cdumb down\u201d America, and when it got defunded, the genre just disappeared from the charts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joe Rogan even brought it up on his podcast in July, asking his 21 million YouTube subscribers whether USAID was actively promoting rap.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The episode got 1.7 million views, so this conspiracy theory is getting serious mainstream attention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The actual facts tell a completely different story. Billboard reported in October 2025 that for the first time since 1990, there were no rap songs in the top 40, which is real.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But here\u2019s what matters: Hip-Hop\u2019s market share has been declining since 2020, when it peaked at 30 percent.
