Junior Johnson actively worked on and drove these customized, flathead V8-powered bootlegging cars during his early years in the late 1940s and into the mid-1950s before his arrest at a family still in 1956. He won 50 NASCAR Cup Series races as a driver before retiring early in 1966 at age 35. He ranks among the top drivers of all time in wins despite a relatively short driving career. I found his iconic 1939 Ford Deluxe Coupe at the Mountain Moonshine Festival in Dawsonville, Georgia.
