Lebanon’s hospitals struggle as Israeli strikes kill paramedics, wound thousands

Lebanon’s healthcare system is facing severe strain as Israeli attacks have wounded nearly 9,000 people since conflict with Hezbollah escalated in early March.
Dozens of medical facilities and ambulances have been struck, and more than 100 paramedics killed, violations of international law.
Among the casualties are nearly 800 children, 200 of whom have died.
The few remaining hospitals in southern Lebanon, supported by organisations like Doctors Without Borders, struggle to cope with severe injuries, long distances and a healthcare system already weakened before the war.

Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from Tyre, southern Lebanon.
