Alan Jackson’s final farewell show happened at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee, on June 27th, 2026. It was billed as “Alan Jackson: Last Call — The Finale,” and a plethora of country superstars joined in to pay homage to the legend. While seeing all of this go down, Jackson could not believe his eyes. He took the stage to share his feelings and detail how he has lived the ‘American dream.’ Keep reading for more on his emotional speech.

A Final Farewell

It was a huge night for Alan Jackson as it was his final show, and many stars came to honor the icon. Jackson is not choosing to retire from his beloved career because he does not like it. Rather, he has been battling Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease. It is a degenerative nerve condition, and he can no longer stand on a stage without help. Therefore, it is time for him to take his final bow, and he did so with the help of many friends. Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood, and Lainey Wilson were all there to show love.

Plus, Taylor Swift and Reba McEntire sent in heartfelt messages. After seeing how beloved he is and how much support he has, Jackson took the stage. He was incredibly emotional and shared this message:

Thank you guys so much. I’m Alan Jackson, it’s good to see you all. These nice things people said, it’s just completely overwhelming. It just makes me wanna tear up a little bit.

Jackson went on to note how thankful he was for everyone showing up and the immense talent performing on his behalf. He joked that he wished he were as talented as the singers who had taken the stage. However, he has two Grammys and 21 nominations. Alan Jackson also acknowledged how lucky he had been in his career:

If anyone has lived the American dream, it’s me.

Watching From Above

At one point, Alan Jackson noted that he felt like he was at a funeral watching from above. He was seeing all these amazing performers paying tribute to him. Yet, he was not going to make a big deal out of the ‘last show’ idea. They were celebrating, and that is just what they did despite a rain delay. Fans who saw the performances and the speech via social media were immediately touched and had nothing but praise for Jackson:

  • Please know you touched the lives of so many with your music. Enjoy retirement. Thoughts and prayers.
  • Thak YOU Allen Jackson for sharing you gift with us!!
  • Great singer, great American!
