Therefore, it would only make sense that she is primed for a biopic. Now, she has revealed that she cast the lead for the forthcoming film, but who would she want? Shania Twain Is No Stranger To Heartbreak
Those who have followed Shania Twain’s career know that she has been through some unimaginable stuff. She raised her younger siblings when her parents passed away, and then, when she thought she found her happy ending, that was also shattered. Shania married Robert John “Mutt” Lange, and they seemed blissfully in love. However, she soon learned that he was having an affair with her best friend, so the two split. Fortunately, in 2011, she married Frédéric Thiébaud, which gave her the second chance she deserved.
Now, the superstar is getting her own biopic, Shania, and she had to figure out who would play her. That is no easy task, but she seemed up to the challenge. When asked, Shania shared that she had two actresses in mind, but in a twist, she opted not to reveal any names. The sixty-year-old admitted that she was scared to jinx anything:
So I will say that I do have two actresses in mind, but I don’t wanna say because I don’t wanna jinx it. Like, what if they don’t wanna do it? I’m gonna have to be able to take that on the chin, right? Or they’re not available, or I don’t know, so I don’t want to jinx it and then put it out there and it doesn’t happen. So yes, but I do have two people in mind.
This makes complete sense, but who wouldn’t want to play Shania Twain? Moreover, these kinds of roles tend to garner massive awards chatter. So, whoever takes on the part would be in for major buzz, as long as they make the role their own.
