Yung Filly Faces Retrial On Three Sexual Assault Charges In Australia

Yung Filly faces a retrial on three rape charges in Australia after a jury couldn’t reach a verdict, with prosecutors seeking conviction on counts that carry up to 25 years imprisonment.
Yung Filly thought he caught a break when a Perth jury acquitted him of most rape charges last month, but prosecutors aren’t done with him yet.
The British rapper and YouTuber will face a retrial on three sexual assault counts after the jury couldn’t reach a verdict on those specific charges.
He’s already been convicted of two assault counts for biting the woman, and now he’s staring down the possibility of spending up to 25 years in prison if convicted on the rape charges during round two.
The incident allegedly happened in September 2024 when the woman met Yung Filly at a Perth nightclub after his performance.

She claimed they went back to his hotel room, where things started consensually but then turned violent.
According to the prosecution, he bit her face, neck, cheek, and breast, then allegedly raped her multiple times while she begged him to stop. His defense team argued her story was full of inconsistencies and lies, but the jury still found him guilty on the assault charges.
What makes this situation worse for Yung Filly is that he’s already facing additional legal trouble.
Days after the verdict, he got hit with a cannabis possession charge while he was out on bail. That hearing’s scheduled for September in Magistrates Court, adding another layer to his mounting legal problems.
He can’t leave Australia without court permission, and he’s got to show up on August 27 for a bail variation hearing.
The complainant told prosecutors she’s willing to testify again, and the case will return to court to set a retrial date.
His sentencing on the two assault convictions won’t happen until after the retrial concludes.
The retrial date hasn’t been announced yet, but Yung Filly’s legal team will have their hands full preparing for what could be a life-altering second trial.
