Riley Green Won’t Ever Be Confused For Morgan Wallen, Why?

Riley Green has a very distinctive voice and sound, but he likes it that way. Moreover, he will never be confused for fellow country superstar Morgan Wallen, but why is that? Keep reading for more details on what the new Voice coach had to say.
Riley Green Is Not Morgan Wallen
Some may say that country singers sound alike or sing about the same things. Heartbreak, drinking, cheating, trucks, or similar ideas. Yet, Riley Green likes to pen his own songs, and fans go wild for him. Moreover, they lined up for his Cowboy As It Gets Tour and are thrilled to see what energy he brings to Season 30 of The Voice. He remains incredibly busy, but he admitted that he does not get sent as many songs as some expect given his immense popularity.
Riley shared that this is because of his songwriting skills and the fact that he does things on his own:
I think when I look at outside songs, which I don’t get sent a lot. I write so much on my own that people don’t send me a lot of songs.
The ones that Riley Green does receive sound like Morgan hand-me-downs, and he will not accept that. He does not dislike the songs, and he stated that. However, they are just not his vibe, so he has to decline and turn them away:
I get a lot of Morgan Wallen songs sent to me, you know, and they’re great songs, it’s just, I don’t live in that space. It’s not my thing.
For Riley Green, music has to feel like him and right, something that he would feel comfortable singing. Morgan Wallen singles are not what he wants to put out, although it is just fine for someone else.
Making A Splash
Riley Green just began his time on The Voice, and he has already made a splash as the newest coach. He joins returning coaches Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine, as well as fellow newcomer Queen Latifah. Viewers are already singing his praises after the first episode:
