Federal prosecutors allege trap legend Gucci Mane was kidnapped and robbed in a Dallas studio ambush orchestrated by his own artist, Pooh Shiesty.
Under the guise of a meeting, Shiesty and several armed accomplices reportedly held Mane captive, forcing him at gunpoint to sign documents releasing the rapper from his 1017 Records contract.
Beyond the forced contract release, the group allegedly stole Mane’s wedding ring, watch, and earrings, while choking another victim to steal their Rolex and designer gear. Authorities noted that the suspects brazenly flaunted the stolen jewelry on social media just hours after the heist.
Eight men, including Shiesty and his father, have been arrested in a multi-state sweep. Charged with federal kidnapping and armed robbery, the group faces life in prison if convicted, a high-stakes case compounded by the fact that Shiesty was reportedly already under house arrest during the attack.
