CJ Wallace Demands Handwriting Expert Review Of Voletta Wallace’s Will
CJ Wallace is challenging his grandmother Voletta’s will, claiming it was altered suspiciously just 15 days before her death in February 2025.
CJ Wallace is taking his grandmother’s estate to court, claiming something doesn’t add up with how her will was changed just weeks before she passed away.
The Notorious B.I.G.’s son filed legal documents arguing that Voletta Wallace’s will was drastically altered on February 6, 2025, only fifteen days before her death, and he’s demanding the courts investigate whether those signatures are even legitimate.
Back in 2020, Voletta set up her will to leave most of her belongings to CJ and his sister Ty’anna, including Biggie’s music awards, her fur collection, jewelry, a Mercedes-Benz SUV, and property in Jamaica.

Then suddenly, just before she died, an amendment showed up that cut the grandchildren completely out and handed everything over to Wayne Barrow, a former manager of Biggie who’s been managing the estate.
CJ’s claiming the signatures on that amendment look “facially inconsistent” and he wants a handwriting expert to take a closer look at them.
The timing here is crucial because Voletta was in serious declining health during her final days, taking numerous medications and spending most of her time confined to bed.
CJ’s arguing that someone took advantage of her vulnerable state to change the entire structure of her estate, and he’s asking the judge to throw out the amendment and remove Barrow as executor immediately.
This legal move comes right after Wayne Barrow scored a major victory in Delaware court on August 7, 2026, when a judge ruled that Faith Evans had to give him access to Voletta’s portion of the Biggie trust profits.
The Primary Wave deal valued Biggie’s entire catalog at $200 million, and Barrow’s been fighting hard to control how that money flows.
Faith Evans has maintained that she’s holding the funds as a responsible fiduciary until the courts determine who should actually receive them, but according to TMZ, CJ’s challenge could completely change the game.
CJ’s filing suggests that Barrow manipulated the situation to secure his position as executor, and now the courts have to decide whether that amendment is even valid.
